The tester is powered by an external 48V power supply, controlled via a USB port, and features a standard M12 connector for connecting the devices under test. A PC software application queries the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/teconcept.de\/en\/io-link-products\/io-link-iodd-studio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IODD<\/a><\/strong> of the device under test and automatically adapts most parameters of the test procedure to the capabilities of the device under test. For each test case, specific snapshots of signals are captured and stored. To generate these signals, the PLT contains all necessary elements, such as an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/teconcept.de\/en\/io-link-products\/io-link-1-port-usb-c-master\/\">IO-Link Master<\/a><\/strong>, adjustable voltage and current sources, line simulations, etc.  \n\nThese snapshots are visualized by the PC application in an oscilloscope-like view. They must be analyzed semi-automatically by taking measurements through the movement of graphical cursors linked to voltage, current, and time values.
