IO-Link Master Tester

The Master Tester communicates via SMI services with the SMI Test Communication Server “STCS” to be provided by the Master manufacturer, which maps SMI services to a specific Master.

In IO-Link V1.1.3, a standardized master interface (SMI) was introduced, which specifies methods for communicating with an IO-Link Master in an abstract manner.

The IO-Link Test Specification for the Master Test has been extensively revised.

The Master Tester has been completely redesigned. It is based on a Master Tester Application “MTA” that runs on Windows 7 and newer, and a Master Tester Unit “MTU”, as specified in the IO-Link Test Specification.

A prerequisite for creating a manufacturer’s declaration of conformance by the manufacturer of an IO-Link Master is the successful completion of the conformance tests specified in the current IO-Link Test Specification.

Additional test systems for your IO-Link master project

In addition to the protocol test, the physical layer test and the EMC test are also required for full IO-Link certification (Test & Quality IO-Link Community).
