IO-Link Safety Master Tester
Every manufacturer of IO-Link Safety Masters must successfully perform the tests specified in the current IO-Link Safety Test Specification as a prerequisite for assessment by a notified body (e.g., TÜV). The safety tests require the standard IO-Link Master Tests, which are executed by another tool. The safety-specific part can then be tested using the IO-Link Safety Master Tester.
The IO-Link Test Specification describes tests of the Safety Communication Layer “SCL” based on test vectors that have been automatically generated and approved by a notified body (IFAK tests).
To perform the safety tests, the master manufacturer must implement an Upper Tester (UT) and an SMI Test Communication Server.
The IFAK test vectors are transmitted from the Safety Master Tester Unit to the Master Under Test. Some additional test cases, such as the Splitter/Composer test, are triggered via the STCS.

Additional test systems for your IO-Link master project
In addition to the protocol test, the physical layer test and the EMC test are also required for full IO-Link certification (Test & Quality IO-Link Community). To achieve this goal with as little effort as possible, TEConcept offers additional diagnostic & test tools that members of the IO-Link Community can use directly to obtain the required certifications.
