FAQ on IO-Link Workshops & Trainings

Our trainings are designed for both beginners and experienced professionals—from developers and system integrators to sales and service technicians, as well as project managers. Since we tailor the content and depth to your needs, both teams with no prior IO-Link experience and experienced engineers looking to deepen their expertise benefit equally.

After a free initial consultation, we align on the topics, scope, and format together. You then receive a tailored training concept. The trainings combine theoretical input with hands-on exercises and real-world use cases. After the workshop, participants receive materials for follow-up (e.g., video recording and presentations).

We offer all trainings both as online sessions and as on-site workshops—either at your company or at our site in Freiburg. Trainings are available in German and English, so international teams can participate as well.

The duration depends on the chosen format and your objectives and typically ranges from 4 hours to a few days. We recommend a maximum of 4 hours per day to ensure optimal learning effectiveness.

For maximum learning effectiveness, we recommend group sizes of 4 to 8 participants. With smaller teams, even more individualized support is possible. For larger organizations, we also offer multi-stage training programs where different departments are trained sequentially.
TEConcept is an official IO-Link Competence & Test Center with over 15 years of experience in IO-Link development. Our trainers actively participate in IO-Link working groups and bring up-to-date practical know-how directly into the trainings. We do not offer off-the-shelf courses—every training is tailored to your specific requirements.
The IO-Link Community also offers workshops – though with a different focus. These include, for example, the IO-Link Interop Workshop, user workshops in various countries, and the IO-Link Forum. Current information on these is published on the IO-Link Community’s website.
