IO-Link Device Tester - Reliably test and certify device protocols

The TEConcept IO-Link Device Tester has been evaluated and recommended by the IO-Link Quality Working Group. The test system performs all protocol tests largely automatically. Besides the Device IODD, only a few manual settings are required for the execution of the protocol test, which runs essentially autonomously.

As a condition for using the IO-Link word and figurative mark, the IO-Link community requires that every manufacturer who brings an IO-Link device to market submits a manufacturer’s declaration confirming the successful completion of the conformity tests prescribed in the specification.

In particular, the protocol tests are very complex and practically cannot be performed without an appropriate test device.

The Device Tester is supplied with 24V DC voltage, and the device is connected via an M12 connector. Control is performed using PC software.

The tests themselves are defined by included XML files. Users can add their own tests, such as range checks for parameters.

Do you require a standard-compliant protocol test for your IO-Link device?

With the IO-Link Device Tester, you can test your device fully automatically according to the IO-Link test specification – including IODD-based configuration and test report.

Further test systems for your IO-Link device project

In addition to the protocol test, the physical layer test and the EMC test are also required for a complete IO-Link certification (Test & Quality IO Link Community). To achieve this goal with minimal effort, TEConcept offers further diagnostic & test tools that can be used directly by members of the IO-Link Community for issuing the required certifications. For non-members, TEConcept, as an accredited IO-Link Competence and Test Center, performs the certification tests.

TEConcept IO-Link Physical-Layer-Tester for IO-Link Devices

IO-Link Physical Layer Tester

Tests the electrical interface of IO-Link devices: signal levels, bit timing, and current consumption according to the IO-Link specification. Automatically generates a report — a prerequisite for IO-Link certification.

TEConcept IO-Link EMC Test Master for IO-Link Devices

IO-Link EMC Test Master

Supports EMC conformity testing of IO-Link devices and ensures that devices can operate without interference in industrial environments.

TEConcept IO-Link Diagnosis Tool for Analyzing IO-Link Communication

IO-Link Diagnosis Tool

Enables parameterization, process data evaluation, and device diagnostics of IO-Link devices directly on the PC — ideal for commissioning, field use, and technical support.
