IO-Link V1.1.5

The IO-Link Community published the V1.1.5 specification in October 2025. This update changes the requirements for devices and masters. We have updated our entire product range.

Master- and Device-Stacks for V1.1.5

Our IO-Link master and device stacks support version 1.1.5. The stacks are implemented in C and have been ported to over 80 microcontroller variants. We provide the stack as source code, along with integration support and drivers.

Device stack: Analog Devices (ADuC, MAX), Espressif (ESP32), GigaDevice (GD32), Infineon (PSoC, XMC), Microchip (ATmega, ATxmega, AVR, dsPIC, PIC16/18/24/32, SAM), Nordic (nRF52), NXP (i.MX, K32L, LPC, MKE, S32K), Renesas (RA, RL78, RX), Silicon Labs (C8051F, EFM8), STMicroelectronics (STM8, STM32), and Texas Instruments (CC3235, MSP430, MSP432, MSPM0, TMS320).

Master Stack: Analog Devices (MAX326xx), Asix (AX58400), Espressif (ESP32), Hilscher (netX), Infineon (PSoC, TRICORE, XE166, XMC), Microchip (PIC24/32, SAM), NXP (LPC, S32K), Renesas (RA, RL78, RX, RZ), Silicon Labs (EFR32), STMicroelectronics (STM32), and Texas Instruments (AM64, TMS320).

For manufacturers, this means compliance with the current specification, a clear migration path from V1.1.4, and rapid integration, as the code has been in successful use for years. We would also be happy to assist you directly with integration onto your hardware platform.

Test devices for V1.1.5

Our accredited IO-Link Test Center already conducts testing in accordance with V1.1.5. This is based on the IO-Link Test Specification V1.1.5 (IO-Link_Test-Spec).

Why update now?

V1.1.5 is now the valid reference for all conformity assessments. Anyone wishing to have their products certified must ensure V1.1.5 compliance and is required to conduct testing based on this specification.
The longer you continue to work with an older stack version, the greater the migration effort will be later on. Therefore, it is worthwhile to switch to the new version early or incorporate it into your development process to save yourself time-consuming migration work later on.

For existing customers

Are you already using our stacks? If so, the update process is straightforward: we’ll analyze your existing integration, provide the stack update to V1.1.5, test it against the new specification in our test center, and assist you with the declaration of conformity.

For new customers

Are you developing a new IO-Link device or a master? Then get started right away with V1.1.5. We provide the stack, development environment, and compliance test.

TEConcept is an accredited IO-Link Competence Center and Test Center. Specifically, this means that we have been developing and testing IO-Link stacks for over ten years, and we are familiar with the test cases in the specification not just because we read them, but because we helped write them.
